We are always excited to work with customers to build them up their dream bike! We offer a variety of custom build options to work with different budgets and different visions. After talking with you about what you want, we can give you a ballpark quote.

Base Custom Build Labor Pricing

Wheel Build Labor: $80 per wheel

  • We often do in-house wheel builds for custom bicycle builds, but also offer custom handbuilt wheels for your existing bikes, so reach out if you are looking to upgrade!

  • We can order a large variety of hubs and rims, including White Industries, Hope, Paul, Chris King, Bitex, Velo Orange, Velocity, Pacenti, Astral, We Are One, Industry 9, Santa Cruz, Whisky, and more.

  • We specialize in Dynamo wheels and set ups, so do not hesitate to reach out with questions. Brands include: Son, Busch and Muller, Shimano, Shutter Precision, Sinewave, etc.

Single Speed Custom Build Labor: starting at $250

  • This is for single speed builds only! Because there is no shifting system, these builds take a little less work on our end and are priced lower accordingly.

  • Note: there are additional charges for any add-on labor, such as frame prep, fenders, racks, dynamo lighting, wheel builds, etc. 

 

Full Custom Build Labor: starting at $350

  • We love to work closely with customers to ensure your bike comes out just the way you want, so we are happy to provide full custom builds for customers! For a full custom build you can come to us with a frame in mind, or we can help you choose one. From there, we set up a consultation and work with you to build the bike of your dreams. Lead times & cost can vary.

  • Note: there are additional charges for any add-on labor, such as frame prep, fenders, racks, dynamo lighting, wheel builds, etc.

Additional Labor Charges

We’re happy to customize your build to your needs! Additional features like dynamo set ups, racks, and fenders can be added on at a discounted labor rate as part of any custom build.

There will be an additional charge for frame prep on any frame that has not yet been chased and faced. This is required.

We are dealers for Crust Bikes, Velo Orange, Kona, Soma, Wilde, All City, Surly, New Albion, Bassi, Salsa and more. If you are interested in any of these brands, we may have something for you in stock or are able to source it for you! Full custom builds with frames sourced through us usually range around $3200 - $6000, with options to upgrade to nicer components or do more add-ons (handbuilt wheels, dynamo set up, etc). 

If you are providing your own frame: custom builds generally range around $1800 - $4000 for parts & labor, with options to upgrade to nicer components or do more add-ons (handbuilt wheels, dynamo set up, etc). 

If you are providing many of your own components for the build, the build may be subject to additional labor charges to clean parts, check compatibility, etc.
